Sub.reddit.com is a partial list. All subreddits (except for sub and lang) can be submitted to by going to that specific subreddit and selecting "submit".

ads A "reddit this ad" link at the bottom of every ad on reddit submits that ad as a story to this subreddit, providing a place for discussion.

freeculture Topics of interest to Free Culture supporters. Page returns: "this reddit has been banned."
gaming
gadgets
joel Topics of interest to the readers of Joel on Software. Not dedicated to Joel on Software blog posts specifically.
moveon Not used much, particularly now that politics has been created. User Aerik claims they made the request for it, but its origins aren't really clear.
netsec Network security
nsfw Previously used for porn, but was removed in Nov 2006. Remnants are available at archive.org. (oddly, submission isn't disabled, only browsing is, and it's possible for upmodded nsfw stories to appear on the front page of all.reddit.com) Enabled again as of Nov 2007
obama This was created merely as a demo
olympics 2006 Winter Olympics

nytimes Apparently an auto-populated subreddit, like slate
