Subreddits and mini-reddits.
[edit] Special subreddits
- all, lists all stories from all subreddits, ignoring user preferences, and including nsfw which doesn't appear on the main homepage
- friends, allows you to view your friends' recent submissions
- my, only shows the stories that match your subreddit preferences
[edit] Topical subreddits
Sub.reddit.com is a partial list. All subreddits (except for sub and lang) can be submitted to by going to that specific subreddit and selecting "submit".
| Subdomain | Official description | Comments |
|---|---|---|
| ads | A "reddit this ad" link at the bottom of every ad on reddit submits that ad as a story to this subreddit, providing a place for discussion. | |

| joel | Topics of interest to the readers of Joel on Software. | Not dedicated to Joel on Software blog posts specifically. |
| moveon | Not used much, particularly now that politics has been created. User Aerik claims they made the request for it, but its origins aren't really clear. | |
| netsec | Network security | |
| nsfw | Previously used for porn, but was removed in Nov 2006. Remnants are available at archive.org. (oddly, submission isn't disabled, only browsing is, and it's possible for upmodded nsfw stories to appear on the front page of all.reddit.com) Enabled again as of Nov 2007 | |
| obama | This was created merely as a demo | |
| olympics | 2006 Winter Olympics Links about the Olympic Games in Torino | |
